Contact:Craig Marek Description:The Kenora Central Ambulance Communications Centre is located in Norman, at the base of the condo development, across from the Co-Op. The Centre receives calls for ambulance from the Manitoba east to English River, and from the U.S. border north to the end of road access (Pickle Lake). On average, 17000 calls are received per year. These include emergency calls, requests for transfers and remote emergency calls serviceable by helicopter. Kenora CACC also dispatches 4 Fire Departments. Commitment of Service:The mandate of the Kenora Central Ambulance Communications Centre is to provide a central focus for communication and coordination by which various aspects of emergency response resource utilization can be deployed and monitored. These include: The provision of rapid and accurate emergency response communications for air and land to all victims of injury and medical emergency, The coordination of patient transfers such that vehicle utilization is maximized while minimizing delay and maintaining balanced emergency coverage, The deployment and coordination of all ambulance movement within the CACC area, The effective cooperation with all partner agencies in an effort to best serve the patient and public. The commitment to meet and exceed expectations of performance standards: Receiving requests for ambulance services and subsequently assigning the appropriate resource within 120 seconds - 90% of the time. |
