Volunteers Are Needed At LWDH!!!

Volunteering is one of the most effective ways to become involved with Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Within our facility there are many programs; so we will do our best to match your talents, skills and abilities to a position that will be rewarding!

Who Can Volunteer?

Anyone who:

  • is at least 14 years old – or part of a family group (we have no upper age limit)

  • Has a sincere interest in people and helping others

  • Is willing to accept hospital policies and procedures

  • Has a sense of responsibility and dependability

  • Has a professional, positive attitude about their commitment to the hospital, patients, and visitors

  • Is physically able to perform volunteer work

  • Is willing to commit to three to four hours volunteering each week

  • Successfully completes our screening and training process

What Can Volunteers Do?

Volunteers are part of the health care team at LWDH. They offer services that make our hospital a friendlier place for patients, staff and visitors. Some choose to be in patient care areas, while others are in more public areas. With over 30 volunteer assignments, we have a position for everyone!

When Do Volunteers Usually Come To The Hospital?

Many areas require volunteers weekday mornings and afternoons, while evenings and weekends are more appropriate for other areas.

We will do our best to match your availability to our schedule. There is also a spare list, for those who do not want a weekly commitment.
